Mothers

I've never been very good at expressing my feelings and maybe that is why I am terrible at updating my blog.
I also never know what to write about.
I usually want to write things that would be an interest to all you people who read my blog,
but maybe the truth is that you really just want to read about my little family of 2.
I read a lot of friends blogs and am also so impressed with how eloquently they write about their lives, and wish I could do the same.

I've thought many times about changing the title of my blog and what it is all about,
but as I looked back at some of my previous posts, I was reminded of why I named this blog PREPARING NOT WAITING, and that is because, preparing is part of my everyday life.

The harder I think of other titles the stronger the title remains in my mind,
and this is the way it will always be.

I have been thinking a lot about what I want to do with my life, obviously I want to be a mother, but in the mean time what do I do with my time?
I currently am a nanny to this sweet family in my ward and I am a respite care provider through the state, as well as a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant. I guess you could say I am pretty busy, but I learn a lot from what I do.

There are a lot of people who say that being a nanny is not a real job, but I beg to differ, it is more rewarding, then any job in the entire world.

I know that  being a nanny isn't quite the same as being a mom but it sure does make me grateful for my mother and all that she has done to make me the best me I could possibly be.

I've worked with kids pretty much my entire life.
I am the oldest in my family, and have helped with my siblings a lot,
I have been babysitting others peoples kids since I was 9,
I have been a nanny for multiple people,
I have been a primary teacher to three different age groups, currently the primary teacher of 6 10 year old boys,
I do respite care with my sweet cousin Andrew,
and I nanny 3 of the cutest boys in the world.

Hmmm, while I was typing that out I realized that all the kids I work with are boys...
Either Heavenly Father is trying to Prepare me for having an all boy family,
or he is playing some sick kind of joke on me.

Just kidding, I absolutely love all the kids I work with,
However, if I do have a family of all boys I will surly be very PREPARED.

I feel so jumbled with this post,

But what I am truly trying to get at,
Is that I am thankful for not only my mother but for all the mothers in the world,
Mothers truly do it all, and sacrifice it all.
Being a mother can be very challenging but the moment a child looks up at you with those pure eyes and tells you they love you, it all become worth it and so rewarding, and I am sure as a mother it becomes 10 million times more rewarding and I can't wait till that moment that Eric and I feel the time is right for us to become parents to Heavenly Fathers precious children.

Until then, I will keep on preparing to be the best mother I could possibly be.

I love this quote by David O' Mckay Regarding Mothers, I find it most appropriate as we go into Mothers day this Sunday.

“This ability and willingness properly to rear children, the gift to love, and eagerness, yes, longing to express it in soul development, make motherhood the noblest office or calling in the world. She who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions deserves the admiration and the plaudits of mankind; but she who rears successfully a family of healthy, beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, whose immortal souls will exert an influence throughout the ages long after paintings shall have faded, and books and statues shall have decayed or shall have been destroyed, deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, endowing with immortality eternal spirits, she is co-partner with the Creator himself.”

This is a great article about stay at home moms.
